بعد ستة أشهر على وفاة الملكة إليزابيث الثانية، افتُتح أمس (الأربعاء) في لندن، معرض مخصص للكلاب، التي كانت تقتنيها الملكة، يضم صوراً لإليزابيث الثانية مع حيواناتها المفضلة. ويحوي المعرض المُقام في متحف «والاس كولّكشن» بعنوان «ذي كوين أند هور كورغيز»، 9 صور التقطت كل منها في مرحلة معيّنة من حياة الملكة البريطانية وتُظهر العلاقة المميزة التي تجمعها بحيواناتها.
وقال أمين المعرض كزايفيير براي لـ«وكالة الصحافة الفرنسية»، إنّ المعرض صغير لكنّه مذهل لأنه يضم 9 صور للملكة مع كلابها.
واقتنت الملكة طوال حياتها نحو 30 كلباً، مع تفضيلها سلالة «بيمبروك» إضافة إلى «دورغي»، وهو تزاوج بين سلالتي كورغي وداشهند. وتظهر الصور التسع، التي اختيرت من بين أكثر من 5 آلاف صورة، لقطات عفوية وأخرى رسمية. وتعود أقدم صورة في المجموعة إلى يوليو (تموز) 1936 وتظهر فيها إليزابيث حين كانت تبلغ 10 سنوات وهي تلعب مع كلبين في لندن، هما «جاين» و«دوكي».
وأشار براي إلى أنّ «المعرض يوفر منظوراً مختلفاً عن الملكة، من خلال إبراز العلاقة المميزة التي كانت تجمعها بكلابها».
وتُظهر إحدى الصور المعروضة والمُلتقطة في 19 سبتمبر (أيلول) 2022. كلبين للملكة من نوع كورغي، هما «ميوك» و«ساندي»، على مدخل قلعة وندسور برفقة حارسين لدى مرور موكب تشييع الملكة مغادراً لندن بعد وداع تاريخي.
وتبنّى الأمير أندرو، وهو الابن الأصغر للملكة التي توفيت في 8 سبتمبر عن 96 عاماً، هذين الكلبين.
سلك الأمير هاري مسارين مختلفين في محاولاته للمصالحة مع شقيقه الأمير ويليام ووالده الملك تشارلز، لكنهما متفقان على أمر واحد.

العراق يبدأ محاكمة 6 فرنسيين يشتبه بانتمائهم لتنظيم «داعش»
في الأعوام الماضية أصدرت محاكم عراقية أحكاماً بالإعدام والسجن مدى الحياة على خلفية الانتماء إلى «جماعة إرهابية» في قضايا إرهاب وقتل بحق أشخاص بينهم أجانب (واع)
يمثل 6 فرنسيين، الأحد، أمام القضاء في العراق؛ حيث يُحتَجز الآلاف من المشتبه بانتمائهم لتنظيم «داعش» من جنسيات مختلفة بانتظار محاكمتهم.
وأكّد مصدر قضائي عراقي، الخميس، عقد جلسة المحاكمة، مضيفاً أن الفرنسيين الـ6 الذين لم يكشف عن هويّاتهم هم ضمن مجموعة أولى من 47 مواطناً فرنسياً نُقلوا إلى العراق سنة 2025 من سوريا المجاورة، حيث استولى التنظيم على مناطق شاسعة اعتباراً من 2014، قبل أن يتمّ دحره من البلدين اللذين ارتكب فيهما مجازر وأعمالاً وحشية، وفقاً لما ذكرته «وكالة الصحافة الفرنسية».
ومن بين هؤلاء أدريان غييال المعروف بنشاطه الإرهابي والذي تبنّى، خصوصاً باسم تنظيم «داعش»، الهجوم الذي نُفِّذ في نيس (جنوب فرنسا) وأودى بحياة 86 شخصاً في 14 يوليو (تموز) 2016 في يوم العيد الوطني الفرنسي.
وفي الأعوام الماضية، أصدرت محاكم عراقية أحكاماً بالإعدام والسجن مدى الحياة، على خلفية الانتماء إلى «جماعة إرهابية» في قضايا إرهاب وقتل، بحق أشخاص بينهم أجانب.
وفي عام 2019، صدرت أحكام إعدام في حقّ 11 مواطناً فرنسياً حُفّضت عقوباتهم في درجة الاستئناف إلى السجن مدى الحياة.
وندّدت مجموعات حقوقية بالطابع المستعجل لهذه المحاكمات التي تُقام في قضايا «إرهاب»، مشيرة إلى أنها لم تتقيّد بالضمانات الإجرائية اللازمة.
وما زال هناك كثير من الشهادات تنتظر التحقيق فيها حول أعمال العنف الوحشية التي ارتكبها التنظيم المتشدّد في العراق، حيث خلّف مقابر جماعية كثيرة لم تُكتشف كلّها بعد، وبعضها لم يتم فتحه.
محاكم كثيرة مقبلة
وطالب محامون فرنسيون أُبلغوا باقتراب موعد الجلسات، باريس بإعادة مواطنيها الذين قد يواجهون عقوبة الإعدام «على نحو عاجل».
وفي بيان نُشر الخميس، ندَّد المحامون ماري دوزيه، وماتيو باغار، وفيكتوار دوميير، وبولين غامبا-مارتيني، وباتيست فاشون، بانعدام الشفافية في الإجراءات القضائية في العراق وتعذُّر تمثيل الموكِّلين المحرومين، في نظرهم، من حقّهم في الدفاع عن أنفسهم.
وباتت السجون العراقية المكتظة أصلاً بأعضاء يشتبه بانتمائهم لتنظيم «داعش»، تضمّ آلاف السجناء الإضافيين الذين نُقلوا إليها منذ العام الماضي من سوريا.
وفي مطلع عام 2026، نُقل إلى العراق أكثر من 5700 شخص من نحو 60 جنسية يشتبه بانتمائهم لتنظيم «داعش» بعدما أمضوا سنوات في مخيّمات سورية بإدارة القوّات الكردية. ومن بينهم 5 مواطنين فرنسيين على الأقلّ، منهم مَن كان قاصراً عندما التحق أهله بالتنظيم.
وفي مطلع سبتمبر (أيلول)، أعلن القضاء العراقي استكمال استجواب أكثر من 5700 شخص يُشتبه بانتمائهم إلى تنظيم داعش، و«الانتقال إلى المرحلة القضائية التالية المتمثلة في إحالتهم على محكمة الموضوع».
وأسفرت التحقيقات عن «كشف عدد من العناصر شديدة الخطورة (...) وقيادات من الصف الأول» في تنظيم «داعش»، وعن «معلومات مرتبطة بجرائم جسيمة ذات بعد دولي ارتُكبت بحق المجتمع الإيزيدي»، بحسب مجلس القضاء الأعلى العراقي.
والإيزيديون أقلية ناطقة باللغة الكردية تتبع ديانة خاصة، وكانت قد تمركزت بشكل أساسي في شمال العراق قبل تعرضها لهجمات واضطهاد من جانب «داعش» بدءاً من الثالث من أغسطس (آب) 2014، وفرار أفرادها جماعياً بعد ذلك.
وأدّت التحقيقات كذلك إلى تسليم فنلندي وأميركي لسلطات بلديهما في أبريل (نيسان)، وإطلاق سراح7 عراقيين، بينما يجري «استكمال الإجراءات اللازمة لإطلاق سراح 457 محتجزاً من الجنسية السورية ممَّن لم تثبت بحقهم أدلة تستوجب استمرار الإجراءات القضائية بحقهم»، وفق مجلس القضاء الأعلى العراقي.
وكان تنظيم «داعش» سيطر على مساحات واسعة في شمال العراق وغربه اعتباراً من عام 2014، إلى أن تمكَّنت القوات العراقية من دحره في 2017، بدعم من التحالف الدولي الذي تقوده واشنطن.
وفي سوريا حيث هُزم التنظيم في عام 2019، احتُجز آلاف المشتبه بانتمائهم للجماعات المتطرف مع عائلاتهم، وبينهم أجانب، في سجون ومخيمات تولت إدارتها «قوات سوريا الديمقراطية (قسد)» حتى يناير (كانون الثاني) 2026.
CENTCOM: Over 1 Billion Crude Oil Barrels Crossed Strait of Hormuz

The United States is working to secure navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, as talks between Washington and Tehran remain stalled and the war is in its seventh month.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) commander Adm. Brad Cooper said on Saturday that the US military is continuously working to keep the Strait of Hormuz open and secure, adding that US forces supported the transport of over 1 billion crude oil barrels through the Strait of Hormuz “in the last couple of months” despite an ongoing exchange of strikes with Iran.
“We’ve reached this significant milestone while assisting over 2000 commercial ship transits through the Strait by providing coordinated protection. Clearly momentum is building,” Cooper said in a video posted on social media.
“Thousands of ships have passed through the Strait. Over 1 billion barrels of crude have been shipped from Gulf partners through the Strait of Hormuz, and Iran has exported zero barrels thanks to our ironclad blockade,” he continued.
The US commander said CENTCOM is working with regional partners, along with insurance and shipping companies, to increase commercial traffic through the waterway.
“We're also working with every partner in the region, enhancing their air defense, forming a new coalition attack drone unit, and keeping the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding waters open and clear,” Cooper said.
His comments came as the United States and Iran remain locked in a military conflict following the collapse of both the April and June 2026 ceasefire agreements.
The US re-imposed its blockade of Iran's shipping and ports on July 13 in an attempt to cut off oil sales — Tehran's primary source of hard currency — compounding earlier losses from wartime strikes on its energy infrastructure.

Iranian-Pakistani Talks
Amid growing concerns over the safety of oil supply routes, Pakistan has recently intensified its contacts with Tehran on regional developments.
Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi discussed regional developments over the phone on Saturday.
Dar emphasized the importance of “uninterrupted energy supplies and the safe and expeditious passage of ships,” particularly given their impact on developing countries and global supply chains, according to a Pakistani Foreign Ministry statement.
He stressed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the “only viable means” of ensuring peace and stability in the region.
The two sides agreed to maintain close cooperation and meet in New York on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly next week.
On Friday, The Financial Times said Pakistan’s army chief has urged Iran to try to rein in Houthi escalation in the region.
Field Marshal Asim Munir travelled to Tehran last month to meet Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian and other political leaders and has held multiple phone calls with Araghchi — most recently on Thursday, according to Iranian news agency IRNA.
South Korea Does Not Object
Meanwhile, South Korea’s presidential office said Saturday that President Lee Jae Myung’s earlier remarks ruling out troop deployments that could involve the country in a war, did not amount to a “refusal of US President Donald Trump’s request for Seoul to send forces” to the strategic Strait of Hormuz, according to the Yonhap news agency.
Myung said on Friday he would not deploy military assets to the Middle East in a way that could draw the country into conflict, but Seoul was reviewing whether to play a greater role in safeguarding navigation in the region.
According to The New York Times, Myung pushed back against pressure from the Trump administration when he declared that his country would not deploy troops or military assets to support the US-led war against Iran.
“Lee did not turn down Trump’s request for South Korea’s cooperation on Middle East-related issues during yesterday’s press conference,” the Yonhap news agency reported on Saturday, citing a presidential official who spoke to reporters on condition of anonymity.
The official said the government was reviewing “practical ways to contribute” in close coordination with the international community.
Seoul will continue to examine concrete options under its stated principle of not intervening in wars or combat, the official added.
Trump’s Major Decision
In Washington, US President Donald Trump has again raised the possibility of a major new military escalation against Iran while keeping the door open to negotiations.
Trump told Axios on Thursday that he was approaching a major decision over whether to restart large-scale attacks against Iran, asking whether he wanted to “go in and annihilate” the Iranian regime.
Trump on Wednesday said he hoped an end to the war against Iran was near. But US officials warned that the conflict had entered an “unsustainable stalemate that is neither full-scale war nor stable peace.”

The widower of French screen icon Brigitte Bardot on Saturday slammed as a "joke" the planned auction of hundreds of the late star's personal belongings organized by her animal welfare foundation.
The sale, featuring more than 300 items ranging from portraits and toiletries to a flamenco guitar and a black tutu, is due to take place Monday at Paris auction house Drouot.
"These are personal items. Why hold this sale? For the animals? It's a joke," Bernard d'Ormale told AFP, adding it amounted to a "disrespect to Brigitte's memory".
"All of this could have been kept for the day when people are able to visit La Madrague," he added, referring to Bardot's famed home in Saint-Tropez.
He said around three-quarters of the items came from Bardot's Paris apartment, with the remainder from La Madrague.
Her belongings should have been preserved as part of her legacy rather than sold to raise funds for the foundation she created, d'Ormale argued, adding that Bardot "would not have agreed to this sale".
The Brigitte Bardot Foundation rejected the criticism, saying the auction was approved by the board in June, including Bardot's widower, who was then its president.
However, d'Ormale said he had not understood the auction would involve such personal items.
The dispute comes days after he was removed as head of the foundation, a role he had held since the star's death in December.
The 85-year-old, who remains on the foundation's board, also complained he no longer has free access to La Madrague.
"I've lived there for 35 years and now they're throwing me out. It's quite something," d'Ormale said.
Founded by the actor in 1986, the Brigitte Bardot Foundation says it has taken in 13,000 animals through four shelters and 150 partner facilities, supports 350 groups in France and operates in 70 countries.
