US Says No Evidence Saudi Cadets Linked to Terror Groups
Washington said on Monday that there was no evidence linking Saudi cadets receiving military training in the United States to terrorist groups.
US Attorney General William Barr added that Saudi Arabia was offering complete support in the probe into a Saudi officer’s fatal shooting of three Americans at a Florida naval base in December.
During a news conference, Barr added that there was no evidence that Saudi Air Force Second Lieutenant Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani Alshamrani had received assistance from other Saudi trainees or that any of them had knowledge in advance of the attack.
A deputy sheriff shot dead the gunman, who had opened fire at the Pensacola Naval Air Station.
