Saudi Arabia's Relief Arm Provides Humanitarian Aid in Region, Worldwide

The Riyadh-based King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) has provided treatment services for 21,910 patients in Zaatari-based Syrian refugee camp in Jordan last October.

The general medical clinics treated 7,347 patients, children 6,330, women's clinic 2,623, out-patients at internal clinic for Syrian refugees 1,078 , dental clinics 1,361, surgical clinics 1,195, and 1,051 vaccinations given to 471 children and women.

The number of people benefitting from the Infectious Disease Control Project amounted to 1,083 while those who visited the nutrition and health care units amounted to 422 patients.

The center has also provided the 19th session of training workshops on crafts and vocational skills, specialized in sewing and embroidery at the Zaatari camp.

KSRelief provides educational and training courses in various fields such as Arabic, English and mathematics skills upgrading courses, in addition to organizing professional workshops in sewing, clothing industry, arts, cooking skills and food keeping.

KSRelief has so far graduated more than 4,500 students in various educational and training fields, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Meanwhile in Yemen, three trucks carrying medical aid weighing 35 tons were provided to the offices of the Ministry of Health in Hadhramaut Governorate.

This comes within the Saudi center's continuous efforts to support the health sector and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni citizens under the current circumstances.

Also, the center has continued to distribute monthly portions of food baskets to the needy people in Abekh, Djibouti.

A total of 375 food baskets were distributed to the Yemeni refugees in the Saudi village here, while 375 similar food baskets were distributed to the poor and needy Djiboutian people in Abekh, Djibouti.

This comes in addition to the aid by the volunteer medical team of KSrelief which has conducted 22 thyroid surgeries for low-income patients at the Regional Hospital Center in the Moroccan city of Ghalaat Al-Saraghna, on the second day of the volunteer medical campaign performed in cooperation with the International Commission for Relief, Care and Development.

According to SPA, the campaign, initiated on Sunday, aims to conduct more than 100 surgeries to meet the requirements of the needy people in many countries around the world without discrimination.
