King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continued its voluntary medical campaign to combat blindness and relevant diseases in Lafia, Nigeria.

Up to 5,500 cases were examined by volunteer doctors who also performed 192 surgeries as the campaign entered its third day.

The medical team served thousands of patients coming from far away to seek medical tests and treatment.

Also in Lebanon and Jordan, the Saudi center continued supporting Syrian refugees.

The center implemented several activities within the social welfare project in Bar Elias town in the Lebanese Bekaa Governorate, benefiting 24 Syrian families during the past week.

The activities included providing food needs, household and personal supplies for beneficiaries, gas and monitoring of diabetics and blood pressure.

Meanwhile, school bags and stationery items were distributed over eight schools in Syrian refugee Zaatari camp in Jordan, where the number of beneficiaries reached 3,822 students.

This comes within the framework of the continuous support provided by KSrelief, Saudi Arabia's relief arm, for the Syrian people, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
