The Yemeni government vocally condemned the Houthi militia terrorist attack against oil facilities in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Houthi-operated armed drones had struck two oil pumping stations in the kingdom in a “cowardly” act of terrorism, two days after Saudi oil tankers were sabotaged off the coast of the United Arab Emirates.

Yemen’s government, for its part, released a press statement accusing the clerical regime in Tehran for directly meddling in Yemeni affairs and inciting militias to wage attacks against neighboring countries.

Pro-Iran Houthi militiamen, according to the statement, do not only pose a threat against Yemenis, but also undermine regional and international security.

“The Yemeni Republic reiterates its stand in solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the face of threats against its security and stability,” the statement said.

Addressing Houthi conduct, the Yemeni government labeled it as “terrorism matching that practiced by any other terror group.”

“Houthi behavior, since the militia’s inception, reflects its efforts alongside Tehran to destabilize security and stability and spread chaos in the Middle East, which is a vital area for the global economy,” the statement added.

The Yemeni government also voiced its total rejection towards the targeting of Saudi Arabia by the Houthi terrorist militias, adding that hostility stems directly from incitement by Iran.

"The attack on Saudi Arabia, which was carried out by the Houthi militia with a direct incitement from Iran, cannot be tolerated or met with silence," read the statement from the Yemeni government found on the state-run Saba News Agency.

Noting that Houthi violence against sovereign states cannot be tolerated, the government stressed that the recent attacks “constitute a blatant violation of all peace efforts and threatens to destroy all United Nations goals for a solution in Yemen.”

“Yemen, its leadership, government, and people, renounce this disgraceful act which has been carried out without account for morals and by an outlawed group of people who sold themselves to the mullahs' regime and became its regional puppet.”

Yemen's internationally-recognized government affirms its full support for all the measures that Saudi Arabia takes to preserve its security and counter all forms of terrorism.

The Houthi drone attack, the government said, made it necessary for the international community to act and do everything to immediately repulse this "terrorist group" and its supporters.
