King Salman Humanitarian Relief and Humanitarian Center (KSrelief) has launched the distribution of Ramadan food baskets to Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, benefiting thousands of needy families.

The food basket meets all the essential needs of each family, especially as the Palestinians are facing difficulties in food security, high levels of poverty and unemployment.

This comes within the framework of the keenness of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to provide humanitarian and relief assistance to all those in need in the world, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The center also distributed on Sunday up to 3,100 Ramadan food baskets, weighing 279 tons, to the poor and displaced people in a number of directorates in Somalia, benefiting 18,600 individuals.

The director of the office of KSrelief in Somalia, Saad Al-Swaidan, said that the distribution of a total of 35,000 food baskets for the poor and displaced people for 2019 was launched, indicating that they will be distributed across all regions and provinces of Somalia, according to SPA.

For his part, the Somali Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Hamza Saeed Hamza expressed thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, for the allocation of this aid to the needy families in Somalia.
