The Saudi Ministry of Culture will organize on Wednesday the “Cities Destroyed by War” exhibit at the national museum in Riyadh.

Under sponsorship of Culture Minister Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the exhibit will highlight the destruction of Arab cities by terrorism, negligence or environmental factors.

It will stress the importance of preserving cultural treasures, such as ruins and heritage sites.

The exhibit, which will use virtual tours to transport visitors to these cities, is being held as part of the cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and the Arab World Institute in Paris.

Riyadh will mark the exhibit’s second stop after it was first held in Paris in October 2018.

It will run until May 17.
