Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Farhan Al Saud, upon visiting the wing of this year’s guest of honor, Bahrain, reaffirmed the deep ties shared between the two Gulf countries. He noted that cultural cooperation between the two kingdoms was deepened by knowledge and creative production exchange.

Touring the exhibition, the minister stressed to publishing houses representative the historic importance of the role played by books, especially in cultural and nation-building terms.

He underlined the exceptional role played by the Riyadh International Book Fair in the Arab world, highlighting the ministry’s ambitions.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz have always stressed the importance of culture and the knowledge movement, reflecting an interest in the Kingdom’s cultural sector.

He added that the vision of the Kingdom of 2030 has underpinned culture as a fundamental part of the Quality Of Life Program 2020, a national initiative aiming to improve the lifestyle of people and make it more balanced.

It is achieved by setting up the environment necessary to support and provide new options that enhance the participation of citizens and residents in cultural, entertainment, and sports activities.

“This is a great indication of the importance of culture and knowledge in the agenda of the ambitious Kingdom Vision," the minister of culture said, pointing out that the ministry will oversee the Riyadh International Book Fair in its next edition.
