Egyptian Defense Minister Major Gen. Ahmed Safi and the Deputy Commander of the Saudi Royal Land Forces Maj. Gen. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Muqrin sponsored the conclusion of the exercise at the Safaga naval base.

The days-long joint exercise focused on combating terrorists in cities and chasing them to mountainous terrain.

The drill highlighted the preparedness of the militaries from both countries in confronting any dangers that may threaten them and the region.

The concluding ceremony of the exercise was attended by the Commander of the Jordanian Royal Army Ground Forces Maj. Gen. Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Juhani, the Saudi Military Attaché to Egypt, Brig. Gen. Abdullah bin Yusuf Al Jasser and a number of senior officers from both countries.

The exercise is part of a series of joint drills between Egypt and the Saudi Royal Land Forces to combat terrorism and develop and strengthen military cooperation.
