The Makkah-based Muslim World League signed on Tuesday a cooperation agreement with the Uffizi Museum in Florence, Italy, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

The agreement aims at implementing educational and cultural initiatives that promote the Islamic civilization. It will also support efforts to develop education and training, promote intercultural dialogue and introduce Arab and Islamic culture to the Italian public.

The agreement was signed by MWL Secretary-General Dr. Mohammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Isa and Dr. Eike Schmidt, Director of the museum.

The two parties will seek to organize seminars and training courses and highlight the role played by museums in promoting cultural exchange and educational activities.
