Houthi coupist militias continued the bombardment of civilian areas in rural parts of the western coastal province, Hodeidah. Arbitrary shelling targeted women, children and the elderly, said locals angered with Houthi atrocities, systematic killing, and uprooting of civilians.

Hodeidah residents said the Iran-backed Houthi militias launched mortars against civilian neighborhoods in al-Tahita, in retaliation over massive losses suffered in clashes against army forces.

“Coup militias indiscriminately shelled the homes of citizens,” locals said.

Over 17 Houthis, including senior officials, were killed in Dhale, Marib and Al-Jawf battles.

Dozens were left wounded by recent clashes.

Marib province battles alone saw eight militiamen killed in clashes with National Army forces on the western Sirwah front.

“Eight Houthi fighters were killed and six others wounded in an attempt to break into National Army frontlines in Sirawah, Marib,” a military source was quoted as saying.

"Army artillery targeted militia reinforcements and groupings in Sirwah, resulting in Houthi human and material losses,” he added.

More so, two senior Houthi leaders, going by the aliases Abu Abdullah and Abu Sarkha, were killed on Saturday in an ambush carried out by pro-government Popular Resistance in the Jabban district, east of the southern Dhale province.

“Popular Resistance forces targeted a patrolling militia formation in Jabban. The operation resulted in the death of two militia leaders and four militiamen, and the injury of four others,” field sources told the local official news agency.

Other three Houthi members were killed on Friday in an ambush carried out by the National Army forces in the western Musallub district of the northern Al-Jawf province.

As for demining efforts, a taskforce member based in the Saada valley said: “team members continue operations clearing liberated areas, securing them for displaced locals expected to return home.”
