Saudi King, Crown Prince Congratulate Arif Alvi on his Election as Pakistan President

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz hailed on Sunday the fraternal ties that bind Saudi Arabia with Pakistan, “which everyone seeks to bolster and develop in all fields.”

He made his remarks during a cable of congratulations he sent to Arif Alvi on his election as president of Pakistan.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, also sent a similar cable, wishing Alvi success in his new position and Pakistan further prosperity.

Alvi had received in Islamabad on Sunday Saudi Information Minister Dr. Awwad al-Awwad, who is on an official visit to Pakistan.

He relayed to the newly-elected president King Salman and Prince Mohammed’s good wishes.

The two officials also discussed bilateral ties.

Earlier, the Saudi minister had held talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.
