President of the General Audit Bureau Dr. Hussam bin Abdulmohsen Al-Anqari and US Comptroller-general of the Government Accountability Office (GAO) Eugene Louis Dodaro, currently on a visit to the Kingdom, co-signed on Friday a cooperation agreement in the field of accounting and supervisory work.

The agreement aims at enhancing aspects of cooperation between the two sides, developing the professional control of the state organs, and accounting work, reported the Saudi Press Agency.

Al-Anqari said in a statement that the agreement is an extension of the existing and ongoing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United States.

He explained that the bureau has recently set up a specialized training center accredited by the civil service.

The agreement will raise the level of the center during its inception and development of the field, stressing that the objectives of the General Auditing Bureau do not have a specific ceiling, he continued.

Al-Anqari said that the bureau is closely linked with government agencies and nearly 100 organizations have been connected to an automated system to improve the monitoring service system and develop the field with the concerned authorities.
