Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi has said that the battle led by the legitimate forces backed by the Arab Coalition against Houthi insurgents is almost over and victory is near.

He added that peace will not be achieved unless Houthis are eliminated and the country is put back on the right political track.

In his speech on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, he stated that peace is the right choice “but the war was imposed on us by racist gangs, taking the future of Yemeni generations captive."

Hadi added that victory will be declared once the country is liberated from the Iran-backed Houthi militias and state institutions are restored.

Any political action should be based on respecting the Yemeni people’s will and committing to the three agreed-upon references, he continued.

The president said that the legitimacy has doubled efforts to disperse salaries of state employees, as state institutions managed to restore stability, activate legitimate agencies and provide services for citizens in liberated areas.

Hadi expressed full determination to restore stability to Yemen and to achieve the best interest of the Yemenis through joint efforts.

His speech coincided with a series of battlefield victories announced by Coalition-backed legitimate forces in Nati' (Al Bayda), Saada, Hodeidah and other governorates.

An officer in Nati' front said that the control over Al Bayad mountains will enable the forces of the national army and the resistance to liberate Afar.

In al-Durayhimi district, the Giants Brigades continued to take control of large areas following heavy urban fighting with the militias, which have incurred huge losses in the west coast of Hodeidah province.
