Yemen Army Captures Strategic Terrain in Baydha, Advances on Malajem

The national Yemeni army, backed by the Saudi-led Arab coalition, captured the most important terrain in the Biyadh mountain range on the al-Malajem front in the eastern al-Baydha province.

An aide to a field commander, Abdulwahhab Bheibih confirmed that the capture of the strategic mountainous terrain after the military waged battles with the Iran-backed Houthis, leaving many devastating losses in militant ranks, reported the September.net website.

Moreover, he said that the forces seized vast territories, estimated at 18 square kilometers, in al-Malajem.

The army also advanced on a strategic Houthi arms depot in al-Malajem, as well as a region used to launch ballistic missiles at the city of Marib.

The army had on Saturday launched a wide-scale military operation to complete the remaining regions of the al-Malajem district.

More than 26 Houthis were killed and dozens injured in battles in the past two days, Bheibih added. The army also seized military vehicles that were in the militants’ possession.
